We’re excited to announce the grand opening of our new Commercial Heavy Equipment Training (CHET) state-of-the-art training facility in Burlington. This new campus is designed to meet the growing demand for professional truck drivers in the region and will feature cutting-edge training tools and programs to ensure the highest quality of education for aspiring drivers.
“CHET is proud to announce that it will be the first TTSAO member school to offer training in Burlington,” states Sophia Sniegowski Begidzhanov, Corporate Communications Officer for Musket Transport and CHET. “This expansion enables us to provide valuable training opportunities to individuals in the Halton region who might otherwise find it challenging to attend our Mississauga campus. I personally hope this initiative will help us connect with more diverse communities and encourage them to consider trucking as a viable career option. In addition to being the first truck training academy in Burlington, we are committed to maintaining a realistic trucking environment for our students. We are also pleased to highlight that Musket’s brokerage and refrigeration divisions operate from Burlington, further enhancing the comprehensive training experience we offer.”
Strategically positioned in Burlington, this campus serves the western Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and the Golden Horseshoe, offering accessible training from Niagara to Wellington County. The new campus offers a class size of 15 students per instructor, with a total of two classrooms. It is equipped with a state-of-the-art simulator, with an additional simulator located at the Mississauga campus. The training program is completely inclusive featuring a full suite including corporate training services and individual AZ / DZ clinics.
The new CHET location in Burlington is a dream come true for many individuals
“The new CHET location in Burlington is a dream come true for many individuals,” says CHET Instructor, Jorge Correa. “As an instructor, this new facility offers an opportunity to do what we love to do best, which is to transfer our truck driving skills to new individuals[…] The city of Burlington offers a great variety of scenarios for our training due to many commercial areas with well designed city planning. ”

Adding to that, CHET instructor Andrew Colquhoun said, “We’ll be able to bring high-quality driver training to Halton and the surrounding region. Expanding our service area will bring new, well-trained drivers into the transportation industry, some of whom may not have otherwise had the chance to obtain our high level of training due to travel challenges. Aside from training new drivers, carriers in the Halton region requiring additional training for pre-trip inspections, load securement, hours of service, etc. will have an excellent option for expert trainers in these topics. As part of this highly qualified team, I’m looking forward to servicing Halton and its surrounding areas by bringing new professional drivers to our industry.”
Sandra Graham, CHET Operations Manager, emphasized the importance of the new facility stating, “Burlington is a prime location for commercial driver training. Our large, modern facility and efficient training yard will significantly enhance the learning experience for our students.”
The new location meets the high industry demand in the area and alleviates the overcapacity issues at the Mississauga CHET campus. Both instructors and students are eager to take advantage of the new, state-of-the-art facility.
Francois Jeddi, CHET Sales Manager, highlighted CHET’s longstanding reputation saying, “With close to three decades of experience, CHET has established itself as a leader in the trucking industry. Our highly qualified instructors and comprehensive training programs are recognized by major insurance companies and industry bodies. The new Burlington campus will continue our tradition of excellence, producing top-quality drivers to meet the industry’s needs.”
