The new Musket cross-dock & storage facility in Mississauga adds an extra level of service to the already great selection of logistical solutions we supply to our Musket Transport customers.
Cross-docking involves the unloading of materials from a manufacturer or from a mode of transportation directly to either the end-customer or another mode of transportation, with little or no storage in between. Our new facility allows for cross-docking so there’s little delay in transportation time.
Thanks to these new services we’re capable of transloading and de-stuffing containers, and can handle oversize, overweight, and non-standard freight commodities to meet the needs of our customers. The facility provides 24/7 security with camera installation, providing peace of mind that the products and materials that are moved through our facility are kept safe and secure.
Safety measures for tracking and tracing all products and materials while in transit, and at our facilities, include a Geotab on all trucks, an in-house custom tracking system, IBRIGHT Software on all refrigerated trucks ensuring the temperature is controlled at all times, cross-check procedures, 24/7 surveillance, and more.
Thanks to the range of equipment and the structure of our cross-dock & storage facility, we’re also capable of loading and offloading step decks and flatbed with ease. As always, all services are competitively priced and include storage, repackaging, relabeling of pallets and more.
What sets Musket apart? Due to the size of our container terminal, we can accommodate specialty freight and have done so in the past. Thanks to a range of heavy-duty equipment, we have been able to handle de-stuffing 10 ft. skids and large-scale art installations.
