Every year, local transportation and logistics company, Musket Transport Ltd., looks forward to delivering toys to the Salvation Army as part of the Toys for Tots campaign.
“At Musket Transport we are passionate about supporting our local community and we are proud to be involved with Toys for Tots on an annual basis,” states Sophia Sniegowski Begidzhanov, Corporate Communications Officer for Musket Transport. “We provide storage and transportation of donated toys in the area. It has been a joy to work with the Salvation Army, in particular Joel Binner, on this project each year.”
On November 15th, Dean R, driver at Musket Transport will help kick off the annual campaign by delivering several shipping containers full of toys to the Salvation Army Mississauga Temple ready for distribution to at-risk children and families in need.
“Thanks to the efforts of two Musket drivers, we were originally connected with this opportunity,” says Begidzhanov. “One of these drivers, Dean R, is volunteering his time to deliver all of the containers from our terminal to the Salvation Army Mississauga Temple.”
The Toys for Tots campaign runs annually nationwide and sees local communities and businesses come together to help provide for families in need at Christmas. Initiatives like this go a long way to help support and foster the Christmas spirit in local communities.
“Musket has been a treasured partner of The Salvation Army in Mississauga, and an integral part to providing at-risk youth, children, and families support at Christmas every year,” says Joel Binner, Director of Community and Family Services for the Mississauga Salvation Army. “This program runs in conjunction with The Peel Regional Police force and has brought joy to so many families in need for many years now. The staff at Musket has always believed and supported what we do in The Salvation Army and has supported our initiative at being a transforming influence for good in our community.”
